You need to know that the Canon Pixma IP2770 / IP2700 Printer or any other Canon printer brand is usually made to do the initial setup after several uses. However, not everyone can do this initial setup for a Canon printer, maybe most people will take it to a printer service center. Okay, maybe that's a safe move. But if you want to try resetting the Canon printer yourself, here is how to reset the Canon iP2770 printer.
The first step:
- If the printer is on, then turn off the printer first, but don't remove the power cable that is attached.
- Press the RESUME button for about 2 seconds
- Then press the POWER button until the green light flashes (when pressing the POWER button, don't release the RESUME button yet)
- Slowly release the RESUME button but don't let go of the POWER button
- While still pressing the POWER button, press the RESUME button 5 times. The led will turn on alternately orange and green with the last flame being orange.
- After that, release both buttons simultaneously
- The led will blink briefly after which it will turn green
- Your computer or laptop will detect a new device, just ignore it

Second Step
